Sundance Head Injured in Ranch Shooting Accident

Country singer Sundance Head, known from American Idol (2007) and The Voice (2016), was injured in a shooting accident on his Texas ranch. His agent, Trey Newman, confirmed he was airlifted to a hospital but avoided life-threatening injuries.

According to his wife, Misty, he was retrieving his .22 when it fell, hit his Jeep, and discharged. The bullet lodged in fatty tissue but missed vital organs. Emergency surgery was considered, but doctors may leave the bullet in place.

Misty urged fans to pray for his recovery, saying, “We need you, Prayer Warriors.” Head had been hunting alone, with plans for family to join later. His current condition remains uncertain.
